Early Years Governance Week 24 November to 1 December
Welcome to Governance Week
This week Early Years wants to put the spotlight on the governance of our settings.
We are doing this for three reasons:
We are leading up to the Early Years AGM on Friday 27 November, when our organisation takes care of its own governance;
At this time of year we normally would have held a conference that focuses on governance;
The COVID-19 pandemic has made good governance even more critical as settings have had to make important decisions in the midst of constant change and uncertainty.
We are therefore using this week to highlight a number of events, resources and services that Early Years settings can use to support their good governance.
Free 1-2-1 Governance Clinics
The first resource being promoted is free 1-2-1 clinics with our resident governance specialist Diarmuid Moore to talk about any governance issues that are effecting your setting.
Settings have typically used these meetings to discuss issues such as finances, funding and fundraising, committee roles and responsibilities, staff and employment issues or charity status.
One hour Governance Clinics can be booked for Monday 30 November or Tuesday 1 Decemberbetween 2:00pm and 8:00pm by contacting: diarmuidm@early-years.org
